> Floyd Mayweather Jr. recently did an interview with DJ Whoo Kid touching on subjects such as Manny Pacquiao’s drug testing decision and his upcoming fight with Shane Mosley on May 1.
Mayweather suggested that Pacquiao was an ordinary fighter early in his career and evolved into an extra ordinary fighter much later which he feels is not typical in boxing.
Mayweather said, "What people don't know about the sport of boxing. In a fighter's career, a fighter starts off good and he's good until the end of his career or a fighter starts off good and then goes downhill towards the end of his career. A fighter doesn't start off like Manny Pacquiao, just ordinary, and then once he gets over the age of 25 he becomes an extraordinary fighter. It just doesn't work like that in this sport of boxing." By Manny V - The promotional battle for Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (30-0-1, 22KOs) was won by Golden Boy Promotions and they are wasting no time putting him in front of a large audience.
He is scheduled to be on the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Shane Mosley pay-per-view undercard on May 1. “Canelo” Alvarez, which means “cinnamon” in Spanish and given for his red hair, is sure to spice up the card and attract many Mexican fight fans to the event. Alvarez has developed a significant following south of the boarder.
He is scheduled to have 3 fights this year with Golden Boy, and depending on how Alvarez performs its assumed he will eventually mix it up with the elite welter weights. Imagine a year from now “Cinnamon” Alvarez vs. “Sugar” Shane, now that would be a treat for fight fans. It will be interesting to see who his opponents will be this year, as they will surely be picked very selectively.

By Manny V. 1. Juan Manuel Lopez knockout over Steven Luevano was a solid win, however not nearly as impressive as Gamboa’s knockout over Rodger Mtgwa. Gamboa looked part Shane Mosley and part Mike Tyson the way he took care of business in less than two rounds. When the two meet, Gamboa will most likely be favored to win.
2 Andre Ward’s next opponent has officially been changed to Allen Green. It was first announced that Allen Green would duel it out with Sakio Bika to determine who would fight Ward as a replacement for Jermain Taylor’s decision to withdraw from the Super Six tournament. If Ward were to beat Green and move on to win the tournament, lets hope fight fans give him the credit he deserves. Read on for more...
