Post fight Quotes:
"I didn't know from where the punches were coming," Cotto said. "Manny Pacquiao is one of the best boxers I ever fought."
"I want to see him fight Mayweather," trainer Freddie Roach said.
"This is the last weight division for me," Pacquiao said. "It's history for me and more importantly a Filipino did it."
Cotto is shot...His last 4 fights have been against the top welters in the world and all were either tough or brutal....1)against Mosley, was tough but Cotto did pull it out though close..2)against Margarito, in which Cotto took a beating. Regardless, if Margs cheated or not, a beating is still a beating...3) Clottey, which bordered between tough and brutal in which Cotto got alittle lucky in getting the decision...4)and now Pac-man in which Cotto took another beating....All in all Cottos last 3 fights he has been busted up
Now there's trully no doubt in my mind that Manny is the real deal. No.1 pound for pound king. He beat a true warrior that couldnt hang with him. They need to step it up in the undercard though. champ in 7 divisions Wow! Y esos cabrones que escriben en nosequechingados que Chingen a su MA..jaja.
Agree Swodogg what a warrior that Cotto is! Hope he can come back from this ... I wonder when JCC jr will step up his competition? maybe never he had problems with this last pillow punching tomato can, respect to that guy ...
Cotto started well and won the first round. What happened to him after that was both brutal as it was thrilling to watch.Manny paquiao is vastly becoming one of the most entertaining boxers of all time.Just hope mayweather feels he can tame this tiger and gives the public what they want.A true p4p match up,next year.
Both fighter were great---Cotto being so tough and tried every thing fo hang on. what a fight of manny...it was sooo exciting. Up to the last round every body still waiting for Cotto to unlease it's vicious power but didn't came.
This fight almost played out like I said, I said 8 round ko for Manny, but cotto came in great shape. Please dont think Floyd will fight Manny after this cuz hes gonna cry about split, and say that Manny was koed before or retire again. The real fight will be Sugar vs.Berto winner vs, Manny, this guy is amazing.

the power didnt come? the power was always there the 1st half, i gotta admit Manny is a beast and has evolved alot, he took Cottos best shots in the 1st 4 rounds, didnt u see Manny's ear? Cotto beat a huge coliflower into him, and his eyes were a little messed up, but well Cotto never recovered from the 2nd knockdown, props to Phil Landman, if it wasnt for that guy Cotto wouldnt have lasted till rnd12.
