Exclusive Interview: Joel Julio on fighting Alfredo Angulo, Sergio Martinez and Antonio Margarito E-mail
Joel Julio spoke with Liverpuncher.com about his upcoming fight with Alfredo Angulo, a possible fight with Sergio Martinez and Antonio Margarito.  Read on for a full transcript in English.

Here we are with Joel Julio What do you think about your fight with Alfredo Angulo?

Joel: Its going to be a very interesting fight.  We are both very powerful punchers.  But I think I have the advantage because I have much more experience.  And I’m going to do what I always do and that is dominate the fight and come out the winner.

Liverpuncher:  There are a lot of people who say that Alfredo Angulo has problems with fighters who have a lot of movement, are you aware of that and do you have a plan to use lots of movement in the fight?

Joel: No our plan is going to be to counterpunch him.  To hit him as quick as we can.  We have to remember Alfredo Angulo is not made of stone.  He is a human being, and I am a hard puncher and I’m going to hit him hard from the opening bell so he knows my power.

Liverpuncher:  How is Training going?

We have had a very strong camp.  Perhaps the best of my career.  And I am in tremendous condition for Angulo.

Liverpuncher:  In which gym do you train?

Joel:  We were in camp for 8 weeks in Deerfield Beach with my new trainer Anthony Hamm.  We did great work to make sure I win and show my talent.

Liverpuncher: And after this. If you win, who do you have in your sights?

Joel:  Well realistically I want to focus on what is coming because I an 100% sure I am going to win.  He will be a great opponent for me but I know I am prepared mentally and physically for this great fight and I know I will be victorious.

Liverpuncher:  What do you think of the champion Sergio Martinez?

Joel:  He is a great fighter.  Maravilla Martinez has showed that he can be a champion at Jr. Middleweight and Middleweight and has beat great opponents.  He is a great opponent but I can beat him.  He has lots of movement but remember he has never fought someone who has the same type of movement.  So we will see just how good Maravilla Martinez is

Liverpuncher:  What do you think about the return of Antonio Margarito?

Joel: Well its good for him because its never good to be out for so long.  For me its good that he comes back and they give him an opportunity to fight.

Liverpuncher:  Would you like to fight him some day?

Joel: Well of course I want to fight with the best because to show you are the best you have to beat the best.

Liverpuncher:  Thank you Joel.
