Floyd Maweather: I dont fight for bragging rights, I fight for checks
In a lead up to the exciting Floyd Mayweather vs Juan Manuel Marquez fight, Mayweather talks about how he "softened up Hatton" for Pacquiao. And goes on to ask "Why dont people want to talk about how Pacquiao got out boxed by Eric Morales?" See the video for more. Also, at a news conference on the 80th floor of the Empire State Building, Marquez said,"I'm expecting the best Floyd Mayweather ever. I'm putting in my mind that he never retired,
so I'm expecting the best."
"I always prepare myself to win," Marquez said quietly, sitting a few
feet from where the outgoing Mayweather held court with dozens of
reporters. "He's not a machine, he's a human being, and human beings
can be beat."
Now, much to Mayweather's chagrin, many consider Pacquiao the best.
"I
respect him for what he does, I respect him in the fight game, but I've
never been beat," Mayweather said of Pacquiao, who's lost three times,
the last in 2005. "Nobody has the antidote for Floyd Mayweather."
"Marquez is a warrior," he said, conferring rare praise upon one of
his foes. "He's a hell of a fighter. I don't have to come here and
bad-mouth anybody."
Mayweather paused for a moment, then added:
"They say to be the best, you got to beat the best. I think they got
Marquez in the dark and somebody has to give him a shot. Why not me?"
Freaking guy tried to put moneyman on the spot. Can't do that without asking the right questions or knowing facts! morron! He should've mentioned Mosley, floyd's been avoiding him for a long, very long while.. Finally some respect from floyd to his opponent. He showed only respect for JMM. He knows what's up! Can't wait for the fight.(even at that weight). Floyd's gona go out and try to counter jmm all night. We'll have to see which fighter makes better adjustments throughout the fight. Can't wait for this one..
Mayweather:"Why dont people want to talk about how Pacquiao got out boxed by Eric Morales?" ....why? because it's nonsense, pacman got outboxed because he was bleeding from the eyelid and it is bothering him, if the accedental clash of heads didn't happen morales will get knock out., if ever he fights pacman it will be useful for him to bang his head on pacmans face and outbox him..LOL!
