Forrest Sounds Off Against Mora! E-mail

According to a report from the fightnews website WBC super welterweight champion Vernon Forrest went crazy during a teleconference when upsets by Contender stars Alfonso Gomez and Brian Vera were mentioned. "I'm no Arturo Gatti nor am I Andy Lee. You've got to realize who you're dealing with. I'm completely another level....there won't no upset come next Saturday, so trust me on that one. You can forget about that sh*t!"

Forrest does have a good point.  Vernon is a proven fighter, he beat Shane Mosely twice and moved up to win a title in another weight class.

But this is also a testament to what Sergio Mora is willing to do to win a championship.  He is finally stepping up to the plate after very weak competition recently.

The question is: Does Vernon Forrest have the tools of a Miguel Cotto or Joe Calzaghe, to make Sergio Mora look like a Pretender instead of a Contender?  There is only one way to find out and that is why it will be in the fantasy league this season along with the other fight on the same card Carlos Quintana vs. Paul Williams

The fights takes place on June 7th on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING (live at 9 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the west coast) from the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut.  Get your predictions in before fight time!

This will be a beatdown for Forrest. Contenders need to stay on ESPN fighting bums.
