Andy Lee has become
a regular sparring partner for Klitschko, particularly when the heavyweight is training to
face a lefty such as Chris Byrd two years ago or Ibragimov this weekend.
"Klitschko's looking very good. He always prepares 110
per cent in every aspect of his boxing," Lee said. "His approach is
just so professional that he's always going to be ready. "
"When he's in camp he's just so switched on, whether
he's training, sparring or watching videos with Emanuel."
Ibragimov is also very prepared for this fight and said, “The
preparation is not much different in this fight than the other fights before,
but it's more intense. We're working continuously straight through.
“I'm never nervous about fights. I've got 22 professional
fights and a hundred more amateur fights. Boxing is my life, so I'm never
nervous about a fight. I want people to see a great fight, how a small fighter
works and fights in the ring. I want all the people to see how a true and real
fearless fighter is.”
What many people expect is for Ibragimov to use his boxing to win the fight. He said, “I can change the fight. I can
change my offense and defensive style. To be flexible is very important for
this fight. I'm thinking about this fight. I'm thinking about winning this
fight. I have to win this fight.
Also, many people think Klitschko doesn't have a chin, and bring up the time he was knocked out by Lemon Brewster. But Ibragimov had this to say, “I don't think about the chin of
Klitschko. I think that it's going to be a real hard fight and I'm ready for
this fight, to win this fight. I don't know if I take a punch better than
Klitschko, but we'll know in two or three rounds.
Despite the excitement for the fight and how much Ibragimov
says he has prepared, Liverpuncher members simply are not buying it. 91% have predicted a Klitschko win and for
those like, Homer 1-3 ( 0 KOs ) 22 points, who predicted an Ibragimov KO had this to say:
“…I'm hoping Ibragimov throws a little Cory Sanders at the
Wlad. With that chandelier chin of Klitschko's its possible. If the Sultan
actually comes to fight and doesn't try to box this guy...well, he still
doesn't have much of a chance. I can still change my screen name for next
season.”
Not too convincing Homer. But in boxing you never know who will win.
Be sure to catch the fight on Saturday, it will be an
explosive event. Get your

We have also added the Israel Vazquez vs Rafael Marquez match to the league. Post up your thoughts on that as well to be this seasons champ!
