Jose Benavidez Signs With Top Rank

At only 17 years old Jose Benavidez Jr. has signed a promotional contract with Top Rank and will have his first pro fight on Saturday under the Martirosyan-Ouma undercard at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas.
At 5’11” Benavidez was the youngest person to win the national Gold Gloves Tournament and is now being trained by Freddie Roach. Benavides has been Amir Kahn’s sparring partner and while Kahn is a big 140 pounder, Benavidez is even bigger and will grow to fight at higher weight classes.
