Lennox Lewis let go by HBO E-mail
Lennox Lewis retired from boxing with a win, but was knocked out as a commentator by HBO.  According to the network Lennox Lewis was let go from his post this week when his commentating contract expired.  They released a statement saying, "After four years with HBO's 'Boxing After Dark,' Lennox Lewis will be leaving his post as commentator to begin fundraising efforts for his international training academy.  Lennox is looking forward to developing a state of the art training facility for young boxers to improve their competitiveness in professional competition. Lewis also continues to explore innovative business ventures and film and television projects."  Several insiders say it was not Lewis decision to leave, but that HBO was critical of his work.  Rumors throughout the internet are speculating that Freddie Roach may step in to fill the role.

It seemed like Lennox knew what he was talking about, but he tended to stutter and pause a lot when he was commenting. Sometimes, he took too long to think of what he wanted to say. I don't know if that had anything to do with HBO letting him go. But you guys are right, Freddie can barely make a sentence, because of his conditions, so having him as an analyst doesn't make much sense.
