Manny Pacquiao doesn't think a Mayweather fight will happen E-mail
Manny had a few words to say while training at the wild card gym.  He was asked if he thinks he'll be fighting Mayweather.  He said to the AP, “I don’t think it’s going to happen,” Pacquiao said. “I’m sure he doesn’t want to fight."

Many believe "Money" Mayweather is content with a W and not necessarily about entertaining the fans.  While Manny Pacquiao sees his role as a boxer differently.

“Boxing for him is like a business,” Pacquiao said. “He doesn’t care about the people around him watching. He doesn’t care if the fight is boring, as long as the fight is finished and he gets (plenty of) money. … I want people to be happy. You have a big responsibility as a boxer.”

What Pacquiao and many Mayweather critics fail to realize is that he trains harder then any fighter and doesn't have to, because he is the most naturally gifted fighter. He doesn't study film on his opponents which is why as good as a trainer Freddie Roach is there isn't a game plan he could give Pacquiao to properly use against Floyd, which would leave Manny to have to think on the fly which plays right into Floyds hands. Mosely would be more of a challenge although he would come up short as well.

That argument is good exept Floyd was really beaten by a guy who employed a busy double jab and simply worked the body, (JLC). Believe me no man is unbeatable, and if Floyd fights real welters instead of lights hell find that out. Also he recently spard Lamont Peterson the current #1 140lbr. and alot of people said Floyd got his ass handed to him. But that is neither here nor there the fact is he continues to talk trash about Mosley but is not man enough to fight him,he wont win this fans respect until he either puts up or shuts up.

One more thing, Mannys comment is so accurate it is almost rediculous.

He says
"You have a big responsibility as a boxer.”
would he like to be an entertaining loser?
i dont think so.

the only responsibility a professional fighter has .....is to win.

What I got out of it is a great fighter fights other great fighters and wants to give the fans a entertaining fight that they will be proud of, and in doing that he gives of himself win or loose. At the end of the day fans pay for fights. A great fighter will always test himself against the best and will go through hell for his fans win or loose, because he cares about them and not just himself and his record. There are selfless people out there, Floyd is just not one of them.

Please dont bring up that JLC fight i watched it 5 times Floyd was easily winning that fight until he tore his rotater cuff and still sucked it up and won with one arm it wasnt a split it was unanimous. And did you mention sparring????? are you serious?? Mosley is 38 if Floyd fights him and beats him they're gonna say he was too old. De La Hoya was 34 and they said he was too old, get real. I don't want boxers fighting for me i want them fighting to win. Gatti was entertaining but got his ass kicked more times then not. QUESTION: name ONE not TWO not THREE, ONE fighter Pacquiao fought who has power.

"Money" Mayweather fights for MONEY and looks at it as a buisiness deal: less risk most reward. Manny Pacquiao doesn't care about money. Freddie Roach once said hes afraid Pacquiao is giving it all away. Pacquiao's pay is "Fighting" and "Making people happy" by getting their monies worth. I wouldn't doubt the guy would fight for free!

Everyone fights for free at first, Mayweather fought almost 100 amateur fights before turning pro, if you're gonna risk your life you better be getting paid for it. Its crazy if you think any fighter would fight for free. If you don't like floyd dont watch his fights its pretty simple. but most people pay that 59.99 because he's a winner plain and simple. you dont sell over a million ppv in a comeback if people think you're fighting nobody's. Yeah they're nobodys once they lose to floyd but before that they are the fighter who will knock him out LOL!!! its a pointless argument.

dude r u fucking blind?, JLC clearly won that fight, ive seen it multiple times, he won 8 out of 12 rounds and on top of that 2 of those rounds were 10-8 in favor of JLC, or didnt u notice the 2 point deductions for Mayweather because he was elbowing too much?, and i myself sparred the other day with a local amateur champion here in PR and he emulates Floyd to perfection, the kids got talent, it was hard to adjust but i figured the weak point for that style and its called the JAB, that style eats the double jab and body shots easily, i guess Oscar was right when he said that one his book, he said the jab wasworig but he dropped it cause he wanted a KO and thus ended up fighting sloppy.

Everyone knows that" No Money to pay the IRS" lost to JLC. Jandro83 everything you said is right but I guess a person will see who won that fight after the 6th time waching it.A Steady jab is the key, ask Oscar he used it for 8 rounds against Floyd, once he stopped useing it he started to loose.Manny wasnt saying he would fight for free, but with love a passion for the game that he respects.Floyd is too busy sucking his own dXXk to see that.

jandro, my man. i think your hatred for floyd has blinded your eyes as it has for many floyd haters. if you only have 1 guy hating you, then you aint doing nothing right. but if you have a million fools studying your past fights looking for mistakes, then you are doing the right thing. the right thing is winning. winning easily.

Floyd loves to win and get his money. Pacman loves to fight and guess what he makes alot of money and sleeps well at night after evry fight. He leaves it all in the ring. I'll take Mannys autogragh over ChickenMayweathers any day.
PS I think (tonytig) Must be Uncle Roger....

Honestly I dont have no reason to hate Floyd other than he is a bixxh. I dont hate I just want him to shut up about Shane or fight him, but dont talk bad about a man to reporters if you are not even man enough to get in the ring with him. Thats kind of chickenshxt to me and I cant bring myself to respect that. I liked Ray loenard cuz he had so much pride that he would fight just cause another fighter would say he is the best. That additude is very tough and ballsy and those fighters are great for the sport.

LOL!!! uncle roger!!! lol!!! nope i can actually put my sentences together noun verb agreement work with me. JAB JAB JAB do you know why De La Hoya stopped throwing the jab same as every other fighter. Because Floyd's counter right is not something people like getting hit with. and dont give me that i sparred with someone who emulated Floyd HE WASNT FLOYD!!! I spar too out here in LA that has nothing to do with anything. 63% of the viewers were hispanic, hmmm funny how Marquez couldnt even get 500,000 viewers when he fought pacman twice. If you don't like Mayweather that's fine but don't make up stuff to take away from his 40-0 record with 25 Ko's. If he loses one day who cares, but it wont be by Pacman, Mosely or Williams who lost to Quintana i dont care if he won the rematch by K0 he still lost the first one. no one gave him props for going up to 154 to challenge Oscar and everyone else he moved up from 125 to fight. Haters are Haters.

The 63% was the number given to Univision by Golden Boy Promotions and is a figure that Golden boy has recieved by the satallite/cable companys that covered the fight. Fighters that have good ko percentages vs. Manny include MAB, EM, RH @140,JMM all of these fighters have a power at their fighting weight. I also strongly advise all of the Floyd fans to go to onthegrindboxing.com and listen to Floyd getting his ass owned on the radio on why he is scarred of Shane,Paul w.and anyone his own size, but dont take my word for it!go see for yourself..

Eric Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera, JMM. These are all high percentage KO guys, AND the elite of the division. Pacquiao was a featherweight 3 fights ago. I'm not sure I see the point.

Honestly(uncle Roger) PBF would never ever ever, for no amount of money would get in the ring with The Punisher. He loves his O more than money and that says alot. Pacman can lose again and the real fight fans would give him more credit because he is a true Warrior. PBF can say what ever he wants but he is definately not a crowd pleaser. So no need to get mad no need to insult each other here. Just share opinions and the majority rules. Id like to thank (Uncle Roger) for his opinions....

Let me try this, not that I am any kind of good will ambassador and speaking for other people usually gets me in trouble. Floyd Mayweather is as gifted a fighter as most of us have ever seen, but it difficult to tell just how good he is by the competition he is fighting.

Thats is exactly what I am saying Homer. If I owned a Ferrari there is no way that Im only driving 55. This guy could be one of the top 5 guys EVER but to prove such a lofty goal we have to see him in hard fights. Enquiring minds want to know: How fast will that Ferrari go? Im like Bartels and James I wont say before its time.
