Boxing has survived bad matchmaking, bad officiating, crooked promoters, crooked alphabet organizations, cheats, liars, and thieves. If you took The Ring's top ten pound for pound and retired them all tomorrow, the day after tomorrow there would be ten more fighters to take their place. Boxing is more resilient than a bungee cord that has been snapping back from adversaries for centuries and will continue to do so in centuries to come.

Boxing is having a heyday in the 21st century and I for one don't see any end in sight. Boxing will survive without Pacquiao vs Mayweather, and so will the fans that make this sport as strong as it is today.
