Jandro this is why I have been talking about HBO for years, compubox is a sham way to sell you on a fight with wrong numbers,so is punch zone as well as biast judgeing and Cheerleading by Lamply and the others. I actully think Shane would kick pauls ass at welter as well. |

The only thing wrong with boxing is the idiot fans especially the ones who posted the previous post before mine. One: Compubox is just stats. Nothing more nothing less. Two: the bias Lampley and Kellerman had Martinez winning the fight. Three.Paul got his @ss whooped and so did Martinez. They both took a beating. You can think whatever fighter won, celebrate the fact that each fighter fought with tremendous determination and heart and gave it everything they had for 12rounds. Paul Williams is a fighters fighter and tok on a difficult opponent after the sissy he should of been fighting backed out again. I have all respect for Paul Williams and a new found respect for Martinez because I honestly didnt think he had that in him. I would of swore he was ready to quit late in that fight but he kept hangin. The 119-110 is idiculous but that is the only idiot in this whole scenario. HBO went out with a bang to close the season for the year. |

Im not saying PW is a bad fighter but all that "most feared" BULLSHIT is getting old, so much talk about wanting to fight Cotto, Mosley, and Mayweather, Williams had a chance against Cotto and he PUSSIED OUT, recall to last year, after Cotto's "loss" to Margacheato, he was the MANDATORY challenger for PW's belt, but what did PW do? he vacated and left for 154 with the lame excuse of "more money" BULLSHIT, his next opponent ended up being Verno Phillips, how in the hell was Phillips a more $ fight than Cotto? thats why im sick of PW's most feared shit talk, he may be good, but he can't beat neither Cotto, nor Mosley, nor $ May, and NO Martinez did NOT get a beating, he barely had a little swollen eye, and he was just fine in the post conference on Sunday, where was PW? all busted up and hurt, and before anyone starts with any headbutt bullshit like some sites, i watched the fight 3 times already and the accidental headbut was to PW's RIGHT eye, the cut was on his LEFT eye, and were made by legit punches TWICE, he had a little new cut at first then Martinez busted up his old Quintana scar in the later rounds. |

Oh and as for the copybox BULLSHIT also, go back and watch DLH/Mayweather, when they totalled up punches landed/thrown rnds 1-4 (rounds where Mayweather barely threw 100 punches combined), the crappybox stated $ May threw around over 200 punches and landed 99, everyone here knows Mayweather isnt a busy boxer to have accumulated that and much less in that fight where he didnt do shit the 1st half. |

I had it a draw 114-114, could have been 115-113 either way. Martinez could have scored a KO and still lost on the 119-110 card. |

paul williams is a great fighter. he will be around for a long time. as far as being feared though. i dont beleive that. its well known that his came is very very hard to negotiate with. secound too many other bigger money fights out there. fight cotto, mayweather, pacman, mosley, delahoya, your gona get bigger ppv numbers and put millions more in the bank.pw is just not a big draw. dawson is in the same boat. he is also so tall.he is 5 foot 11 that is tall as hell for that weight class. its like being 6 foot and fighting someone 6 foot 7 . thats just crazy. |

who is 5'11? sure ur not talking about PW, they say PW is "6'2", but he's actually taller than that, i talked to Quintana once and he told me PW is taller, a friend of mine met PW once and said the same thing, hell i'm 5'10 and a 2 of my best freinds r 6'2 and they dont have a head differnece over me like PW had over Martinez who's also 5'10 like me, i think PW is around 6'5, but they say he's 6'2 so it wouldnt look like a bigger difference cause then people would truely duck him. p.s. Pavlik is 6'2 and go look for his promo with PW, face to face PW was noticeably taller than Pavlik. |

Margacheato doesnt want PW, anyways only small WW out there is Pacman, some say Cotto is 5'7, but its not true, hes a common customer at my store and i say he's a little over 5'9, cause im 5'10 like i said and i didnt have much a difference over him, also DLH is 5'10 1/2 and PBF was equal to him when put up face to face so he's over 5'8, same goes for Mosley, and Quintana is 5'9 and he spanked PW, weights and statures in boxing r often played around with, i remember when Chaves Jr. fought an italian guy, the guy made "160" at the scale and on fight night when i saw the fight i saw a guy with his chest bones and ribs all over, u could see his whole skeleton he looked like some 3rd world country guy and he was 5'9, Chavez looked HUGE beside that guy, all i could think was "damn im 5'10 i weigh 140 and im pretty lean and dont have any bones sticking out, thats some bullshit that guy has to be 130 or less, this is a ridiculous mismatch" but the funny thing was the kid was outpointing Chavez Jr. and on rnd 7 or 8 i think Chavez sent a smal flurry of about 6 punches which didnt hurt the guy the least and the ref pulled out a bullshit TKO, man i really heate Chavez Jr. stupid mamas boy. |
