Paulie Malignaggi wins in rematch with Juan Diaz, calls out Marquez E-mail
In a fight where a rematch was certainly in order, Juan “Baby Bull” Diaz (35-3, 17 KOs) loses to Paulie Malignaggi (27-3, 5 KOs) this time around 116-111 UD who utilized his jab, movement and boxing skills.  Diaz appeared to be pushed from the back of the head in round 10 but was ruled a knockdown by the referee.  It was a moot point as Paulie easily
won on all three judges scorecards.  This is redemption for Paulie for what happened in their first fight in Houston where one judge Gale Van Hoy of Texas scored the close bout 118-110.

“Juan didn’t pressure me early on….so I decided to hold my ground.  Either way my hands are faster than his.”

This win will help resurrect the career of Paulie Malignaggi who lost to Ricky Hatton via 11th round TKO in 2008.

As far as who he would like to fight next, Paulie said, “I’d like to fight Juan Manuel Marquez…if I had it my way. The winner then takes on Ricky Hatton….I’ll beat Ricky Hatton easy.”

who really cares...I like Paulie he is from my neighborhood, has great pride and tenacity...Even really good footwork and a jab..But, how is it with all that experience he hasn't learned to throw a good straight right hand?..Of course he will never be a KO artist but his straight right hand is so amerish..It is like he doesn't fully commit to it, all arm and no rotation of his trunk at all..It would most definitely improve his punch alittle bit!..

i dont know whats with all the whining about the knockdown, it wasnt intentional and it was in an exchange, its completely legit, when Foreman droped Santos for the 1st time it was a clearly INTENTIONAL blow to the back of the head and nobody complained so why the hell r they criticizing Paulie?
