Rafael Marquez and Israel Vazquez ready for Part 4 E-mail
Both Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez say they are ready to do battle and to expect even more fireworks.  “No doubt this fight will be a war just like the other battles we have had,” Israel Vazquez said in Los Angeles yesterday.

“I’m really motivated to return for this fight vs Marquez and I know that this fourth fight will be very significant to my career.  I hope my fans are excited about this like I am....just like they were with the three other fights, our fourth fight ...click for more
will not be any different,” Vazquez said.

Israel Vazquez currently is 2-1 in the 3 wars with Rafael Marquez.

Rafael Marquez also said he is ready to do his part.  “Israel Vazquez and I are ready for another legendary battle.  But now I’m ready to close the book and complete the final chapter on this fight, the 22nd of May in Staples center.  I have never wanted to win a fight as much as this one.  I am training to win!”

Oscar de la Hoya also had a few words, “this will be a night that you will not what to miss and one you will not forget.”

Gary Shaw makes comparisons to the legendary Castillo Corrales fight, “I have never had a greater privilege than to promote both Corrales Castillo and also the Vazquez Marquez series.  They have sagas that Hollywood movies are made of.”

The fight will be held the 22nd of May and shown on showtime.

ive always said that the 3rd fight was the greatest fight i have ever seen in my life. there have been some great fights, but vasquez vs marquez III was out of this world. ive never seen such a brutal, amazing, action packed slugfest like that 3rd fight. wow! cant wait for the 4th, although i do wonder how much they have left.

Fights like this are few and far between, these two guys will actually fight rather than block and take shots like Clottey or fight a great "defensive" fight like Money May. They may both be a tad past their prime, but an excellent fight should result between these two fighters.

I agree! I know they are passed their prime. But who cares if the last fights were like a freakin blood bath! I just want to see another good fight. I know that Mosley vs Mayweather isn't going to be good. But at least this one promises action and a lot of chaos and brutality. Can't wait and I might go and watch it at the Staples center myself.

Go Marquez!!!
