Rafael Marquez to leave Nacho Beristain E-mail
After many years of working with the great trainer of Mexico Nacho Beristain, Rafael Marquez is moving on.  He says that he will have his dad and Daniel Zaragoza to be part of his team.

"I terminated my dealings with Beristain because I got tired that he didn’t give me any time.  I was practically
training solo…all his attention was with my brother Juan Manuel and when it was my turn to train, he just went into his office, like I wasn’t important."

The Mexican is looking to train for his big showdown with Israel Vazquez in Staples Center May 22nd.

“I have some big plans for my career and this year should be one of the best of my life…” he said to esto.

i bet he's gonna miss nacho's voice when he's in trouble against vasquez in may. i still think he's gonna win though. shoulda won the 3rd. it was the GREATEST fight i have ever seen.

you cant blame him, nacho trains a lot of people. on the move a lot to a lot of events. even left manuel durin trainin for mayweather vs marquez to coach in another event. some people want that one on one the entire train camp. mental envolvment in just him. nothin bad about it just people have differnet preferances.

a little late in his career to change trainers and nacho is one of the very best he trained the great ricardo lopez and is resposible for juan manuel succes..but then again r.marquez & vasquez are pretty damaged from there trilogy dont know why even bother with a fourth fight id preffer they didnt 3 is enough

I dont see a reason for the 4th fight either. If he wants to be great again then he needs to hook up with Naz Richardson, that trainer knows how to bring the best out of a fighter. He has all the whepons and tools he just needs to fight less brawl and more counterpunching boxer, when a guy gets older that is the style to win and extend his career.

Rafa will miss him in the corner, but I think the strategy is the same....Kick some ass, and go out swinging. Its a great fight but I hope they don't get seriously hurt!!
