Blog by Sierraja81 - Is Boxing
Better than MMA? There was a fight
between Tim Slyvia vs Ray Mercer. Tim
was a former UFC heavyweight champ. Mercer was a former boxing heavyweight champ and olympic gold
champ. For all the MMA fans that hate
boxing, here is proof that they are not on our same level. Boxing is an art and a science. There is no excuse for the loss. Especially in this fashion. Ray is 48 years old and out of shape. Check out the video.

Boxing RULES.....standup fighting ill take a overhand right thrown correctly vs. the way these chumps throw their punches. I say its much easier for a Pro boxer to become an MMA champ vs. a Pro MMA to ever become a Boxing Champ.
This just proves that Boxing is much more tougher, exciting, and just flat out better than MMA. Just like what Swodogg said, A Pro Boxer could easily become champion in MMA while there is no way a MMA fighter could ever become a champion in Boxing.
Let's be fair guys. MMA and Boxing are two different sports. A 48 year old Mercer KO'd a washed up 24 and 6 fighter that had lost 4 of his last 5 fights. Why do we even care. It's like comparing American football to What the rest of the world calls football. (Soccer) I watch both sports and enjoy them both. I'd watch two guy trade, out behind a dank pit if someone would save my seat.
The MMA guy is a sports whore, who boxes, wrestles, does ty bo or what ever and sucks pretty much at all of them, and taps the floor with the good hand when he wants to go home? I dont get it? That looks and sounds like a bunch of drunks at a barfight. That sport is for guys that want a tap out instead of a knock out. Boxing is a beautiful sport that reqires disapline; And you cant get Manny in a bear hold.
