by Swodogg Miguel, Jose and Evangelista Cotto, the trio have been bumping heads for years.
Anytime you mix business with family, drama is sure to follow.
Video resurfaced of brother Jose nearly exchanging blows with his uncle between rounds. This is not the first time there have been altercations. Here are more events that have happened in the past…
* In 2005, rumors swirled Evangelista would be leaving the team
* Cotto admitted there were differences in training for Carlos Quintana
* “Everything is a rumor, without Evangelista, there is no Miguel Cotto,” he insisted
* The team has worked together for over 9 years, during the past three,
the press noticed Miguel and Evangelista did not talk during training
and avoided each other outside the ring.
* Originally denied, the two worked things out but problems continued to exist
* Brother Jose Cotto and Evangelista split ways after their altercation in the ring in 2007
Will Cotto be able to comeback given all the drama of the past three
plus years? It may work out better for him given he can focus more at
the fight at hand rather than a fight with a member of his family. It would be
important to know who will be taking his place. Miguel Diaz veteran
cutman and trainer is already part of the team.
Plus we can look at the others who left their relatives and it all
turned out for the better. Mayweather Jr., Roy Jones Jr. and Shane
Mosley all moved on to different trainers and the differences showed, for the better, in
the ring.
Maybe Nacho can go back to Puerto Rico, where he trained Oscar de la Hoya and show him a few tricks up his sleeve.
The fight with Clottey is still two months away so there is still time
to adjust to the new situation and who knows, maybe Evangelista will
make a comeback himself.

Was Evangelista showing tough love? Or did he go Overboard? Let us know what you think!
so Diaz is still going to be the cutman?! sounds dope, i think Miguels better off with Diaz as trainer more than Joe Santiago (who will be training him)! good little piece tho bro!! its a very good point to bring up the likes of Money-Mosley-Superman and how they did well after a swap out of trainers, however the situation is not exactly the same! this will be a great fight!!
