Video: Antonio Escalante Defeats Micky Roman In A Brutal Friday Night Fights Performance! E-mail
If you have never heard of Antonio Escalante or Micky Roman, don’t  worry, many people outside of the El Paso Texas - Juarez Mexico border region haven’t  either.  However  this Friday, fight fans  everywhere were able to see their talents displayed on ESPN.  If you missed it, check out the videos below.

The fight itself turned out to be a mini version of Barrera vs. Morales I.  Read on for more….

Ok maybe neither guy is quite a Barrera or Morales skillwise, but this fight was reminiscent of their brutality nonetheless.
Story has it that Escalante and Roman, both from Juarez Mexico, fought each other on the streets since they were children.  The score was finally settled when Escalante won a decisive unanimous decision with an official ruling of 97-92, 96-93 twice.

Escalante was backpedaling and moving from side to side most of the fight while scoring punches from the outside. The strategy worked and Escalante was putting rounds in the bank.  Roman stuck to his game plan which was to put a tremendous amount of pressure moving straight ahead and it worked well when he was within  range.

By the eighth round Escalante was able to put a series of punches together that sent Roman reeling to the canvas.  Roman made  it to  his feet  and at  the end of the round reached out to  embrace his bitter rival.  By this time in the fight the two had a mutual  respect for one another, but  it didn’t  last long.

By the ninth round Escalante had the fight in the bag and was moving more and punching less.  The knowledgeable fight crowed immediately booed the tactic and Roman himself stood in the middle of the ring with his arms crossed, staring at Escalante defiantly as if to say, “Come and fight me!”.  Escalante immediately obliged and the two went toe to toe until the final round.

Fake fake fake Oscar I'm sure you're making alot of our money in this fight it's al a plan. To make money. Why doest mosely fight paquiao ? Or why didn't mayweather did. Oscar I'm a Mexican and love boxing. But you're not getting my money 4this one. It a shame. I'll take all these words back if mosley beats mayweather

I wish mosley didn't go to the ring after mayweathers victory over Marquez. That reminded me of tha wwf wrestling fed. When I was a kid. We all know wrestling is entertainment. Please don't turn boxing into this!!!!! I love boxing. But will not buy this fight because of this. Mayweather will win. Shane will loose because that's the way it's got to be. That's so sad.
