Hey Jack, whats new in the life of the two time trainer of the year?

I’m doing great.  Still training fighters Derek Riles and Jay Hordan.  They are two heavyweights with lots of potential.  HBO is doing a reality show where they are looking for the next great heavyweight champ, and they may end up picking one of my fighters which would be a great thing.

And I’m also promoting a new health product called MaxGXL.  It gives my fighters all the energy they need, it’s a great product.  It’s filled with glutathione which is the most powerful antioxidant in your body.  By taking MaxGXL you can naturally increase your energy, detoxify your body and strengthen your immune system.  All my fighters take it, its one of the most powerful antioxidants which aids in fighting all the free radicals to give you the energy of a 20 year old!   If any fighters or athletes want to learn more about it they can visit my website at www.jackmosley.net  or email me personally at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

That’s great Jack, speaking of fighters, right now the topic that struck a nerve with our members was Shane Mosley vs Antonio Margarito.  What do you think of that match up?

Its going to be a great fight, and of course if have to pick a winner, I pick my son to win.  We came up a little short versus Miguel Cotto, but Shane had a bit of a nasal problem before the fight, now he is doing great.  Shane has a knack for fighting Latino fighters.  He has fought Latino fighters his whole life so he knows the style.  And it doesn’t matter who trains him.  At this point in his career he can be on automatic pilot.  As long as he has the energy, which he can get by taking Max GXL, there is nothing he can’t do!

What did you think when Margarito turned the fight down?

I was insulted.  They were acting like Shane is some no name fighter.  He is one of the greatest of this generation and they treated him with no respect.  I’m glad the fight is on, its going to be great.

Which fights would you like to see Shane have in the future?

He should be fighting Hatton, he should have fought Floyd.  These guys are his size!  A fight with Floyd would have been a terrific fight, but they told me, meaning Floyd’s people, that they never had any intention on fighting Shane.  You see what they wanted to do was wait till Shane was in his forties to fight him, you see.  But Shane is a great fighter, you saw how he knocked out Mayorga.  He knocked out Mayorga like Mayorga stole something! (laughing)  That had to be one of the greatest knockouts of all time because it happened with one second left.

Speaking of Shane’s opponents, did you ever feel that Oscar in a way, took some of Shanes possible opportunities away since they all wanted the fight with Oscar?

Well, you said it, and I’ll let other elaborate.  But Shane is a great fighter with one of the highest knockout ratios of all fighters with 30 or more fights.

And I have to ask, what do you think of Oscar vs Manny Pacquiao?

I like Pacquiao, and I like Oscar also.  You know what they say, a good big man is always going to beat a small man.  Its like when Shane fought John “The Beast” Brown.  Shane and I didn’t want that fight but HBO said he was the only one available.  John was a tough little guy and hung in there for a while but Shane was just too big. It will be similar with Oscar and Pacquiao.  I don’t think Oscar will steam roll through Pacquiao but he should be able to win.

Do you think Shane and Oscar will ever fight again?

I don’t know if they will, but as long as they take care of themselves physically anything can happen.  As you know they are promoting together now and they have a good relationship.  As long as they stay healthy, they will be able to do this for a long time.

How is Shane Jr.’s training coming along?

He is doing all the things he is supposed to do. Running, hitting the pads, sparring.  If he keeps it up he can do great things.

Thanks a lot Jack.  If any of you would like to ask Jack a question you can visit www.jackmosley.net
