Its no secret, Cotto's punch is the Liverpunch. Roach is getting his man ready that's for sure as displayed at Pacmans media day. Im not so sure Cotto's trainer is showing his man any new techniques and is rather going along with the normal routine. Cottos trainer is very green from what I can see. |

Like I have been saying, cottos power is being underestimated. I still believe it. Ive said before Team Roach is overconfident. I do have to say Cotto will need to use his JAB to neutralize that speed and switch to southpaw sometimes to throw off pacman! The hand speed and footwork is very impressive though. Cotto is done,stick a fork in him! And I don't even like Pacquiao that much but I do respect him. He's not the number 1 fighter in the world for no reason. Even if you don't count Cotto's loss to margacheato (which I don't) Pacman would still be favored to win....In my opinion at least. |

Is this site based in the Philippines? Geez, every time I check it it's another article about Manny Pacquiao's greatness. 1) I don't think Roach's speed will ever compare to Cotto's speed. Yes, it's easy to defend something you know is coming and WHEN it's coming. Again, I know speed is Pac's advantage, but that's not to say Cotto is as slow as Margarito. Cotto will not have as many problems with Pac's speed as most of you think he will. 2) I agree with a previous poster who said that Roach wouldn't show his strategy like that in public for everybody to see. 3) This is all assuming that Cotto is a one dimensional fighter that won't be able to adapt. Hatton was a one dimensional fighter, not Cotto. Cotto will pursue, back away, box, brawl, jab, etc. I'm not saying that Cotto will definitely beat Pac. I don't think I can predict that... but people make it sound like Pac's fighting some journeyman. |

Cotto I see him at first having trouble with mannys speed.. I see manny landing some clean shots early on.. I noticed in the video how he threw alot of punches down the middle were cotto leaves him self very open for uppercuts..But as the fight goes on i see cotto finally adjusting and trying to rip manny.. If he can cope with cotto's power he'l be fine. we've seen pacquiao hurt by a 135lb marquez and it's scary to think what a power punching welter weight can do to him if he's caught with a clean punch. If pac survives the early rounds Cotto will dwindle in the late rounds and have ineffective punches come round 8-12. i have seen him battle a tough endurance test in clottey but pac won't relax in the late rounds like clottey did.. pac will have the killer instinct to constantly apply pressure. pac by KO in the late rounds. |

Cotto's too big, too strong and too skilled. Pac man is a great fighter but so is Miguel. Cotto will offset Pac man's speed with body punches and counter punching. Pacquiao does not have the power to knock Cotto out. I think this is where Manny's reign ends. |
