We believe that ring accomplishments mean more than anything when ranking fighters so we decided to wait for the outcome of many of the big fights before doing another update. Some may rank a fighter based on what they think he has the potential to do, but until that fighter proves what he can do against other elite fighters, he won’t be found on this pound for pound list.  Analysis: Beat two ring legends in a row: Hopkins and Jones Jr.

 Status: WBC and The Ring super featherweight champion

 Analysis: Beat three top fighters in three separate weight classes - enough said.

 What’s next: Plenty of rest after beating Oscar De La Hoya, and possibly Hatton in May.

pls. manny, don't go to politics in 2010. The country needs you. You bring hope and inspiration to many filipinos both in and out of the country. Fight up to age 35 and then be an ambassador for peace, sports and health. Be like Ali the greatest of them all. If religion, government, parents cannot inspire the filipino people, manny can do it. he brings hope that nobody can and makes a lot people happy. We need something to look forward too every year. So pls. no politics in 2010 and just fight twice a year. Amen.
